Retrofitting SmartMonitoring

Liebherr SmartMonitoring offers a comprehensive solution for documenting and monitoring measurement and operating data, alarm messages and appliance statuses. To connect the SmartCoolingHub required for this purpose to this appliance, you will need the RS 485 interface converter, which is available separately.

Temperature stability and consistency EN 60068-3

All laboratory refrigerators and freezers are tested at the state-of-the-art Liebherr development facilities according to procedure EN 60068-3 for measuring temperature stability. This involves measuring the temperature at nine different points in the appliance interiors.

Alarm test function

This test function can be used to check whether an internally or externally connected alarm system is functioning correctly. The appliance’s refrigeration performance is not affected by this test.

For Hans Liebherr, the impetus behind new areas of business is sometimes derived from personal contacts. From the branch manager of his local bank, the businessman learns about a refrigerator-making factory that is for sale.
By examining the product, the sales figures and the markets, Liebherr recognizes the enormous potential of appliances. At this time, only one in every ten households in Germany has a refrigerator – and with the economy growing, demand is on the rise.
Hans Liebherr decides not to buy the company but instead builds his own production facilities at the Ochsenhausen site in Southern Germany.
In 1954, the first refrigerator is built there and series production begins just one year later.
